This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design, construct, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure and shared platform services that support digital workloads.
• Implement and uphold Azure landing zones, subscriptions, networking, identity, and governance.
• Develop Azure PaaS, containers, and managed services as reusable platform capabilities.
• Ensure platforms fulfill requirements for scalability, resilience, performance, cost-effectiveness, and reusability.
• Utilize DevOps and SRE methodologies, including CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness.
• Establish and operationalize essential platform services and tools for engineering teams.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to provide standardized Azure platform capabilities, deployment patterns, and paved-road solutions.
• Design and maintain Infrastructure as Code using GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CDKTF frameworks.
• Create reusable, modular deployment patterns that balance self-service with governance.
• Automate environment provisioning, configuration, and policy enforcement.
• Develop foundational automation and tools for consistent and secure Azure deployments.
• Implement security-by-design principles across identity, networking, encryption, secrets management, and auditability.
• Ensure Azure solutions adhere to security, privacy, data governance, and regulatory standards.
• Assist with architecture reviews, risk assessments, and audits alongside security and risk teams.
• Design platforms with default observability, traceability, and operational controls.
• Work within agile, cross-functional teams alongside cloud engineering, data engineering, and security and risk partners.
• Hands-on experience in engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure in large-scale or regulated settings.
• Strong knowledge of Azure platforming, networking, identity, access management, and governance.
• Experience in designing for scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Proven capability to troubleshoot and manage production Azure environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code utilizing GitHub Actions, ARM, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Experience in building and operating CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery.
• Experience in creating reusable deployment frameworks, foundational automation, or internal platform tools.
• Familiarity with IAM models, role definitions, and least-privilege access practices.
• Experience with Azure API Management or comparable API gateway solutions.
• Understanding of secure service exposure, rate limiting, and API lifecycle management.
• Experience in implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards.
• Familiarity with SRE concepts such as SLIs, SLOs, and resilience patterns.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Engineering).
• Over 10 years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering leadership, or infrastructure roles.
• Proven experience in delivering and managing Azure environments.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale Azure platforms.
• Experience in building foundational cloud platform capabilities, engineering enablement tools, or shared services for internal development teams.
• Experience leading large projects and collaborating with technology teams and leaders.
