Principal, Capital Acquisition Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive capital acquisition process for various locations, from the initial request to approval, procurement, and project completion.

• Collaborate with site leaders to determine capital requirements, prioritize requests, and ensure that investments align with the business strategy.

• Create, maintain, and standardize capital planning procedures, documentation, and approval workflows across different sites.

• Work closely with the finance team to assist in budgeting, forecasting, cost monitoring, and return-on-investment evaluations.

• Facilitate communication across sites to exchange best practices, lessons learned, and enhancements in processes.

• Assist in preparing business cases, capital authorization requests, and presentations for executives.

• Must be able to obtain a US secret security clearance.

• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, operations, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.

• Proven experience in managing capital projects, capital planning, procurement, or operations across multiple sites.

• Strong skills in project management, financial analysis, and coordination with stakeholders.

• Capability to handle multiple priorities across teams located in different geographical areas.

• Understanding of capital budgeting, approval governance, and purchasing procedures.

• Proficient in ERP systems, spreadsheets, and project tracking software.

• Experience within a multi-site manufacturing, industrial, or operational setting.

• Familiarity with CapEx governance and asset lifecycle management is preferred.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and process improvement skills.
