Principal Business Value Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish objectives and strategies for Zip's most crucial and high-impact value engagements.

• Take full ownership of Zip's value methodology from start to finish, encompassing models, benchmark data, evidence standards, and governance.

• Act as a representative of Zip in external interactions with customer executives, industry forums, and analysts.

• Integrate realized-outcome data and customer economics into product prioritization, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategies.

• Address systemic issues that hinder value delivery at scale and create sustainable execution frameworks.

• Foster value fluency throughout the go-to-market organization via coaching and the development of standards.

• Influence the application of AI in value modeling and analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience with a strong foundation in procurement, source-to-pay, or enterprise finance transformation.

• Proven track record of leading company-wide or industry-wide initiatives in business value, value engineering, management consulting, or strategic finance.

• Proficient in enterprise value quantification and creating robust economic models under conditions of uncertainty.

• History of impacting senior executives both internally and externally, including interactions with CFOs and CPOs.

• Capable of navigating complex, ambiguous challenges that involve multiple teams and functions.

• Demonstrates sound judgment regarding AI-assisted analysis.

• Evidence of mentoring senior professionals, enhancing quality standards, and developing reusable organizational resources.

• Experience in creating a value function or methodology from the ground up in a rapidly growing enterprise software company (preferred).

• Established external presence through published works, speaking engagements, or connections within the procurement or CFO community (preferred).
