Principal Architect, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Collaborating with our clients to grasp their requirements and technical challenges. Utilizing this information, you will create solutions through cloud technologies and advocate for the value of your solutions to the client team.

• Working alongside clients to establish estimates for the skills needed and timelines for delivering Zencore projects. You should be adept at transforming these estimates into a coherent proposal or Statement of Work (SoW).

• Serving as the lead technical member of the project team, offering delivery and technical oversight. You will be responsible for ensuring that the technical delivery stays on course and for resolving obstacles as they arise. Although this role is centered on architecture, we expect you to be a hands-on practitioner; you should be capable of both architectural design and execution.

• Mentoring within the engineering organizations. You are expected to be an authority in your technical domain and should be able to teach and empower others to enhance the skills of the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in designing and implementing cloud-native architectures adhering to modern SRE principles and best practices.

• Practical skills with a major public cloud platform in a production environment, preferably GCP.

• Familiarity with common DevSecOps practices and tools.

• Ability to delve deeply into one or more domains - Software Architecture, Tooling/Pipelines/DevSecOps, Kubernetes, Databases, and/or Networking.

• Capacity to learn rapidly, comprehend, and engage with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in Cloud, DevSecOps, and Software Development.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and complex engagements.

• Excellent communication skills; capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• At ease with being on video during internal and client meetings.
