Principal Architect – Data & AI Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a technical advocate and trusted consultant for clients, transforming early-stage Data & AI discussions into compelling solution visions utilizing the Microsoft platform.

• Collaborate closely with sales and account management teams to enhance opportunity qualification, strategize solutions, and secure closures for Data & AI projects.

• Conduct technical discovery sessions with clients to grasp business priorities, decision-making criteria, and value drivers, converting them into effective Data & AI architectures.

• Design and present Data & AI solutions that clearly communicate business outcomes, technical viability, and return on investment (ROI).

• Offer executive-level technical expertise in Azure, with a strong focus on data engineering, data architecture, machine learning, or AI to influence client stakeholders from practitioners to C-suite executives.

• Maintain technical authority throughout the sales process, including whiteboarding sessions, architectural reviews, proposals, and executive presentations.

• Mentor and guide architects and data scientists to ensure consistency in solutions, technical excellence, and alignment with market strategy.

• Identify and spearhead initiatives to broaden the pipeline through innovation workshops, proof of values (POVs), and targeted thought leadership aligned with Microsoft Data & AI solutions.

• Ensure that proposed solutions comply with Microsoft best practices, security protocols, and regulatory standards.

• Keep abreast of Microsoft Data & AI roadmaps and industry trends to continuously enhance competitive positioning and client impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Data, Analytics, or AI roles, with considerable exposure to enterprise client environments.

• Demonstrated experience leading pre-sales or client-facing technical engagements, encompassing discovery, solution design, and executive-level presentations.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Data & AI within at least one of Azure Data Services, Azure AI, Synapse/Fabric, or Databricks on Azure.

• Strong capability to convey complex technical features into clear business value narratives that resonate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proven track record of $500k+ deal success through collaboration with sales and account teams to drive pipeline progression and secure deals.

• Executive presence with experience engaging the C-suite and partnering with senior leaders as a trusted technical consultant.

• Strong architectural mindset capable of designing comprehensive Data & AI solutions that meet client goals, security, and governance requirements.

• Exceptional communication skills, including whiteboarding, storytelling, and formal presentations.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
