Principal Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee the architectural development for Ekahau while promoting technical alignment and maintaining engineering standards.

• Establish our multi-year technical roadmap, ensuring that our systems remain scalable, secure, and prepared for the future.

• Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership, bridging the gap between business strategy and technical execution.

• Conduct architectural governance and reviews to uphold consistent technical standards among engineering teams.

• Design complex, high-availability services and set organization-wide standards for technical excellence and systemic reliability.

• Facilitate communication between engineering teams and product stakeholders.

• Raise the technical standards by mentoring senior engineers and architects.

• Identify system-wide risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate technical debt.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development, particularly in architecting full-stack SaaS applications.

• Expert-level proficiency in modern backend and cross-platform technologies (Java, Kotlin, Typescript, Postgres) as well as the AWS ecosystem.

• Strong understanding of service-oriented and layered architectures.

• A collaborative leader who is hands-on, results-oriented, and capable of conveying technical plans to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to balance immediate delivery requirements with long-term architectural integrity.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in software development.

• A background check is required.
