
Principal Analog ASIC Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Establish the technical roadmap, architectural guidelines, and methodologies for innovative, high-performance analog and mixed-signal ASICs aimed at achieving next-generation quantum computing objectives.
β’ Act as the main technical liaison with top-tier external ASIC design firms.
β’ Direct the design, high-level layout integration, and verification approach for intricate tapeouts.
β’ Supervise advanced laboratory characterization techniques.
β’ Collaborate closely with photonics, packaging, and systems architecture teams.
β’ Guide senior engineering personnel, promote design best practices, and act as the company-wide expert in analog IC design.
β’ Over 10 years of professional experience in analog or mixed-signal ASIC/IC design.
β’ Demonstrated history of managing multiple complex tapeouts from initial architectural planning to successful silicon validation and system integration.
β’ In-depth experience in designing highly challenging analog circuits that are simultaneously constrained by high-speed (e.g., <10ns) and high-voltage (e.g., 50V-100V) specifications.
β’ Extensive design background across various advanced semiconductor process nodes (e.g., BCD, SOI, GaN, BiCMOS).
β’ Expertise in industry-standard EDA environments, with a strong preference for Cadence.
β’ A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with a concentration in IC design.
β’ Outstanding capability to distill complex technical concepts into clear documentation, design reviews, and strategic recommendations.
