This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to comprehend business requirements, user workflows, priorities, constraints, and acceptance criteria.
• Convert business requirements and designs into technical specifications, implementation strategies, system functionalities, and engineering tasks.
• Recognize ambiguities, dependencies, risks, edge cases, trade-offs, security issues, and operational challenges.
• Take ownership of product initiatives from technical design and implementation to deployment and ongoing operation.
• Oversee multiple products or significant engineering projects with minimal daily supervision.
• Design, develop, maintain, test, secure, monitor, and optimize software for production use.
• Utilize Claude Code as the primary development platform, managing multiple agents, sub-agents, worktrees, branches, and sessions concurrently.
• Establish AI-native development workflows, quality assurance gates, feedback mechanisms, and lifecycle automation.
• Review, test, critique, debug, and enhance agent-generated outputs.
• Automate tasks related to technical discovery, architecture, planning, development, testing, security analysis, code review, pull requests, infrastructure setup, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and maintenance.
• Collaborate across backend, frontend, mobile, infrastructure, integrations, and internal tooling.
• Manage AWS and GCP infrastructure along with deployment workflows.
• Enhance legacy systems and continue to improve products post-launch.
• Extensive experience at the Staff, Principal, or equivalent engineering level.
• Over 8 years of professional experience in software development.
• Mastery of Claude Code is essential, with demonstrable product development experience.
• Proven experience in coordinating multiple AI agents or development sessions simultaneously.
• Hands-on experience in production environments with both dynamic-language and strongly typed ecosystems.
• Required experience with TypeScript/Node.js in production settings.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails is necessary.
• Required proficiency with MongoDB.
• Familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Practical experience in deploying and managing production software in distributed cloud environments, specifically AWS, GCP, or both.
• Knowledge of service-oriented or microservice architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML in production, including LLM integration, retrieval or agentic systems, prompt/evaluation design, or edge inference.
• Extensive background in API development and integration with third-party APIs.
• Strong experience in automated CI/CD processes and software testing.
• Capability to translate business and product requirements into technical specifications and implementation strategies.
• Strong product judgment with the ability to identify edge cases and unmet requirements.
• Deep understanding of software design principles, architecture, security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Competence in critically reviewing AI-generated code.
• Ability to navigate unfamiliar programming languages, frameworks, and legacy systems.
• Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and a proactive approach to building.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
