This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive internal AI applications that integrate agents, reliable business data, automated workflows, and human decision-making.
• Transform AI prototypes and agent functionalities into sustainable, repeatable workflows that are embraced by business teams.
• Convert process diagrams, user requirements, business guidelines, and operational limitations into functional applications.
• Connect applications with the lakehouse, canonical metric layer, trusted data services, reusable agents, and evaluation frameworks.
• Manage authentication and authorization at the application level, and establish robust application security measures.
• Oversee application and workflow integrations with enterprise systems and records management systems.
• Implement instrumentation in applications to track usage, engagement, workflow completion rates, cycle times, and other operational metrics.
• Link product telemetry to business results.
• Create reusable application frameworks, templates, components, APIs, and development methodologies.
• Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Granicus information assets while ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on managing production applications.
• Proven experience in designing and building full-stack applications, backend services, and APIs.
• Familiarity with integrating applications into enterprise systems of record.
• Expertise in enterprise identity management and authorization implementation.
• Capability to establish technical direction and manage engineering tasks from start to finish as a senior individual contributor.
• Practical experience with LLMs, agents, or retrieval systems via production projects, prototypes, or internal tools.
• Demonstrated success in converting vague business challenges into effective technical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical area.
• Preferred: hands-on experience in deploying LLM-driven applications, agents, or RAG systems in large-scale production settings.
• Preferred: familiarity with multi-agent systems, orchestration frameworks, and AI evaluation techniques.
• Preferred: experience in integrating AI models, agents, or retrieval systems into operational applications.
• Preferred: experience working in regulated or compliance-focused environments such as FedRAMP or SOC 2.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or advanced research experience in computer science, machine learning, or a related field.
