Principal Actuary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate as a subject matter expert (SME) with underwriters, various departments within Prime, and senior management on pricing initiatives, data analyses, and the Request For Proposal (RFP) process.

• Lead, manage, and review data analyses, reporting, and projections.

• Oversee and conduct ad hoc complex pharmacy data mining and analyses to address challenging questions regarding actuarial data and concepts.

• Provide strategic pricing guidance on structures and methodologies utilizing market research, financial projections, and intricate actuarial modeling.

• Present findings and analyses to key stakeholders, senior management, and clients; respond to detailed and challenging inquiries related to actuarial data.

• Lead and mentor members of the Actuarial team to enhance their actuarial knowledge.

• Monitor the Health Policy landscape, considering the impact of organizational pricing policies, legal, and political changes that may affect client programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Finance.

• 8 years of actuarial experience, including 6 years in a healthcare organization or pharmacy benefit manager (PBM).

• Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA).

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Intermediate proficiency in SAS, SQL, or VBA.

• Exceptional quantitative, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
