This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver advanced actuarial analysis and technical assistance for intricate rating and pricing, valuation, and financial forecasting activities.

• Utilize mathematics, probability, statistics, health insurance, and business principles to execute critical actuarial functions.

• Collaborate with actuarial teams to ensure a unified approach across health programs.

• Provide support for Network Management, Underwriting, as well as Sales and Marketing initiatives.

• Manage highly sophisticated actuarial modeling.

• Lead or offer consultative assistance for designated projects as a subject matter expert.

• Create and uphold rating models.

• Conduct medical trend analyses.

• Assist in the development of administrative expense factors.

• Perform experience studies and rating factor investigations.

• Aid in the preparation of rate filings.

• Collaborate with FP&A to formulate plan forecasts for designated segments.

• Assess the financial implications of changes to provider contracts.

• Provide ad hoc support for underwriting inquiries.

• Contribute to new product development and the management of both new and existing product programs.

• Meet continuing education requirements established by the relevant actuarial governing body.

• Potentially assume team leadership for assigned projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a higher degree where necessary.

• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).

• Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

• Over 5 years of experience in a related field.

• Alternative actuarial qualifications may be accepted in place of an ASA.

• Fellows of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) may be considered as a substitute for 5 years of experience.

• Adhere to continuing education obligations set by the appropriate actuarial governing body.

• Authorization to work in the United States.
