This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Oversee the pricing and forecasting for Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage bids.
• Deliver findings to clients and engage in strategic conversations.
• Offer strategic insights to local and regional health plans regarding the effects of the Inflation Reduction Act and other regulatory and market dynamics.
• Conduct analysis of healthcare data.
• Prepare reports that simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Manage projects to completion while adhering to budget expectations.
• Guide actuarial students on the technical components of actuarial projects.
• Cultivate skills necessary for managing client relationships.
• Potentially create new business opportunities with both new and existing clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related discipline.
• ASA designation.
• Over 10 years of experience in healthcare actuarial roles.
• A minimum of three years of experience with Medicare Part D, including bid development.
• Familiarity with Medicare Advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Strong grasp of the US healthcare system.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient in SAS, SQL, or R.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Proven success in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on client satisfaction.
• An entrepreneurial, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship.
• Preferred qualifications include Bid Certification, experience with R and/or Python, and familiarity with PowerBI.
• Experience in commercial programs is preferred, but not mandatory.
