Pricing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Assesses solicitations across all relevant pricing areas and collaborates with Contracts to formulate questions when conflicts or ambiguities are discovered.

• Engages in proposal development and pricing strategy discussions.

• Works alongside Capture and Business Development to achieve a comprehensive Basis of Estimate (BOE) for labor hours, materials, subcontracts, and travel needs.

• Constructs and sustains pricing models that utilize the company's sanctioned indirect rate framework (fringe, overhead, and G&A) as well as forward pricing rates.

• Partners with Capture and Subcontracts to create thorough Requests for Quotes for potential subcontractors in line with company policy and relevant purchasing and Government regulations.

• Conducts cost and price reasonableness evaluations, including analysis of subcontractor costs/prices, to guarantee all applicable expenses are included and target margins are achievable.

• Formulates pricing assumptions, financial summaries, cash flow analyses, and risk and opportunity evaluations.

• Composes detailed Cost Narratives and supporting cost volume content to back proposed prices in accordance with solicitation requirements.

• Aids in responses to Government cost Evaluation Notices (ENs), fact-finding requests, and audit inquiries.

• Benchmarks labor categories and rates against market data and published Government sources to ensure price competitiveness and reasonableness.

• Maintains well-organized records of pricing methodologies, assumptions, and supporting documentation for each proposal.

• Inputs and updates opportunities in the company’s pricing and enterprise systems and tracking logs.

• Produces ad-hoc reports and analyses to present to, or address inquiries from, the proposal team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pricing U.S. Government solicitations.

• Experience in developing pricing proposals that encompass direct hires, existing staff, and subcontracted labor.

• Proficiency in creating Cost Narratives and addressing Government cost Evaluation Notices.

• Experience in drafting Requests for Quotes and conducting cost/price analysis.

• Familiarity with FAR and DFARS compliance, as well as contract types including CPFF, FFP, FPLOE, and T&M.

• A working knowledge of indirect rate structures (fringe, overhead, G&A) and their application in proposal pricing.

• Experience with, or exposure to, certified cost or pricing data (TINA) submissions to the Government.

• Advanced skills in MS Excel, including the ability to build and audit pricing models.

• Strong analytical skills coupled with keen attention to detail.

• Capability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a team to meet challenging deadlines.

• Action-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
