This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Formulate, define, and execute innovative pricing strategies aligned with the firm's financial goals.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders from various departments, including legal, Finance, IT, and Business Development, to develop customized pricing solutions for our clients, prepare RFP submissions, and incorporate pricing strategies into the firm’s broader operational and technological frameworks.
• Provide substantial support during the annual client rate review and negotiation processes, ensuring competitive positioning while safeguarding firm profitability, including the analysis and recommendation of rates across different seniority levels, regions, and practice areas.
• Collaborate closely with LPM, Pricing Operations, Finance, and IT to utilize data analytics and technological solutions, such as Power BI and SQL, to enhance pricing models and decision-making processes.
• Apply financial modeling techniques to assess pricing structures and their implications for the firm's profitability, integrating best practices in financial reporting and internal controls.
• Partner with the Pricing Operations and LPM teams to create workflows that identify opportunities for enhanced financial performance through the annual client rate review.
• Utilize LPM principles and resources to improve pricing models and profitability analyses.
• Proactively evaluate workload demands and variations, while effectively managing expectations with stakeholders.
• Compose and revise highly professional, precise, and actionable email communications.
• Support other team deliverables as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline; an MBA or equivalent is advantageous.
• Over 5 years of experience in financial analysis and/or pricing within a professional services environment (minimum of 2 years in the legal industry is mandatory).
• Extensive experience in financial modeling and the ability to manage complex spreadsheets (including creative formula application, sophisticated data representation, pivot tables, etc.).
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, with SQL, VBA, Power BI, and Aderant being a plus.
• Willingness to adapt work schedule based on workload demands.
• Preference for candidates located in the Pacific or Mountain time zones.
