Previsualization Artist

📋 Description

• Develop sequences of shots based on storyboards and/or script pages to enhance narrative flow.

• Define character positioning and camera angles.

• Animate camera actions.

• Produce realistic and engaging character animations adhering to the 12 principles of animation.

• Animate various elements including creatures, props, and vehicles.

• Implement motion blur, depth of field, and other effects to enhance realism.

• Refine and enhance motion-capture animations.

• Uphold high standards for quality and efficiency.

• Grasp shot continuity within sequences to inform shot development.

• Collaborate with the previs supervisor and follow guidance.

• Engage in agile creative teams supporting significant studio projects.

• May work at different production sites for major studio clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Submit a resume, demo reel/portfolio link, and a detailed breakdown of the demo reel or contributions with the application.

• The demo reel and breakdown must showcase both character and camera layout/animation.

• Essential skill: Proficiency in Autodesk Maya.

• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects.

• Familiarity with Autodesk Motion Builder (a plus).

• Experience with PFTrack (a plus).

• Strong understanding of composition, color, and animation timing.

• Comprehension of cinematic language and camera terminology.

• Capability to utilize motion blur, depth of field, and other effects.

• An artistic eye for details and a grasp of technical specifications.

• Ability to maintain consistent quality and speed.

• Understanding of shot continuity.

• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to take direction from a supervisor.

• Flexibility to adapt quickly and embrace change.

• Willingness to travel is advantageous.

• Candidates must reside in California, Georgia, Texas, Oregon, Connecticut, North Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, New York (outside NYC), Colorado, Washington, or Canada for remote positions.

• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada; work authorization documents must be valid and unexpired.
