Prevention Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Operates within a school environment, delivering a specified evidence-based curriculum to students ranging from kindergarten to twelfth grade.

• Creates and develops presentations focused on topics related to substance abuse.

• Establishes and nurtures relationships with various organizations and target groups, highlighting collaborative efforts between those entities and Rosecrance.

• Offers technical assistance and consultation services regarding alcohol and drug-related matters to schools, community organizations, and others.

• Engages with local and state youth-serving organizations, including marketing efforts to inform them of available Prevention program offerings.

• Collaborates with fellow Prevention staff to aid in the creation and execution of new prevention programs and educational resources.

• Diligently completes all necessary reports, documentation, and evaluation tools for outcomes.

• Represents Rosecrance and the Prevention program with professionalism, participating in designated community events such as health fairs and educational workshops for professionals, volunteers, and community groups.

• Remains informed about local, state, and national Prevention programs, trends, research, and other pertinent information.

• Attends required training sessions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in education, social work, psychology, community health, or a related field.

• Valid Illinois driver’s license.

• Capability to coordinate and deliver lectures for patients, parents, and community resources.
