
Preventative Maintenance Technician – Heavy Equipment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Provide service and refuel heavy machinery including Scrapers, Excavators, Dozers, Tractors, Wheel Loaders, Water Trucks, Pick-Ups, and other auxiliary equipment.
• Inspect and replenish fluid levels, service lubrication points, and conduct routine preventative maintenance.
• Keep daily records of service, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Assist in managing the inventory of service kits, lubricants, oils, and other essential supplies.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to coordinate equipment servicing activities.
• Execute Preventative Maintenance Services on Fuel and Lube truck(s) as required.
• Carry out Preventative Maintenance Services on construction equipment as needed.
• Repair any damaged Auto Greasing system injection lines on heavy equipment as necessary.
• Diagnose greasing system issues and conduct repairs as needed.
• Follow verbal and written instructions effectively, communicating with supervisors and colleagues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including weekly cleaning of the Fuel and Lube truck(s).
• Complete daily tasks in a timely manner.
• Serve as a leader in safety and productivity for the team by ensuring adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Actively engage in morning safety meetings.
• Always be prepared to deploy spill kits in case of a fuel or lubricant spill.
• Actively take part in the cleanup of any spills related to your responsibilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in servicing heavy equipment and trucks.
• A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is necessary to operate company vehicles.
• A CDL Class A or B with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement is mandatory.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential for understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and effective team communication.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with others in both group and one-on-one settings.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Capability to apply common sense to execute detailed, yet straightforward written or oral instructions.
• Willingness to work early in the morning in low-light conditions, utilizing truck-mounted and portable lighting.
• Proficiency in typing and operating an electronic tablet to effectively manage the Fuel Management System for scanning and logging purposes.
• Competence in performing daily pre-shift safety inspections on a Class 8 truck equipped with air brakes.
• Ability to safely operate the Fuel & Lube service truck at appropriate speeds on dirt roads with grades up to 10%, in both dry, wet, or snowy conditions.
• Skill in driving a manual transmission semi-truck.
