This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Shift operations from a focus on volume to a focus on margins by enhancing product mix and minimizing waste.
• Enhance manufacturing efficiencies through the implementation of lean practices, yield optimization, and cost management amidst fluctuating material prices.
• Supervise global fish procurement, international logistics, and comprehensive supply chain management.
• Carefully track input expenses, selling prices, and alignment of COGS to safeguard gross margins.
• Manage foreign exchange risks and other financial elements affecting profitability.
• Collaborate closely with the CFO to analyze financial data, reconcile inventory assessments, and optimize the balance sheet.
• Reinstate and enforce budgetary and expense controls across all departments.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent reporting for management and the Board.
• Oversee export operations in Europe, Japan, Asia, and emerging markets.
• Ensure compliance with quality control standards and prevent unauthorized alterations in processes.
• Mitigate talent attrition and facilitate knowledge transfer among teams.
• Foster a collaborative leadership culture that promotes teamwork, communication, and accountability.
• Motivate teams to share ideas and enhance coordination and overall operational performance.
• A minimum of 10 years in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position.
• Experience in seafood processing, tuna canning, or food manufacturing, with flexibility to consider FMCG, poultry, meat, or frozen food sectors.
• Background in low-margin, high-volume environments.
• Proven experience in P&L ownership.
• Strong financial understanding, enabling effective collaboration with finance teams and CFOs.
• Capability to operate at both the plant and executive levels ("speak the language of the plant manager and the CFO").
• Experience in turnaround scenarios is preferred.
• Exposure to international exports, especially in Asia, Japan, and Europe, is significant; however, candidates with general export experience or strong manufacturing leadership may also be considered.
• Experience managing complex supply chain challenges, including shipping rates, tariffs, and currency fluctuations.
• Familiarity with governance in publicly listed companies is preferred.
