This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as SHI’s expert on the design and optimization of Security Operations Centers.
• Create and present demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations for enterprise SOC solutions.
• Facilitate technical discovery sessions to evaluate clients’ security operations maturity.
• Convert SecOps concepts into business-focused value propositions for both technical and executive audiences.
• Design and showcase target-state SOC architectures that encompass ingestion, correlation, detection logic, response workflows, and broader integrations within the security stack.
• Develop and sustain reference architectures, battle cards, competitive analyses, technical briefs, and frameworks for vendor evaluation.
• Assess and qualify vendor technologies, advising on partner adoption, platform consolidation, and the retirement of legacy solutions.
• Conduct enablement sessions aimed at engineering and sales teams.
• Identify opportunities within security operations and enhance service offerings to promote revenue growth.
• Collaborate with SHI partner teams to provide integrated security operations services.
• Establish and nurture relationships with clients and partners through briefings, demonstrations, and knowledge transfer.
• Monitor SecOps technologies, frameworks, regulations, adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), alongside the evolving threat landscape.
• Spearhead practice development and innovation initiatives while upholding practice standards.
• Divide time between presales client interactions and internal practice development efforts.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in security operations, SOC architecture, or security engineering roles, with hands-on experience in SIEM, SOAR, EDR, or XDR design and implementation.
• Proven experience in presales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting within the cybersecurity field.
• Willingness to occasionally travel up to 20%.
• Proficient in managing and directing projects to successful completion.
• Capability to identify, document, and oversee technical project requirements and specifications.
• Skill in defining, designing, building, and maintaining security operations architectures and SOC solutions.
• Proficient in writing, debugging, and maintaining code in Python, PowerShell, KQL, and SPL; this is considered a plus.
• Ability to comprehend and manage infrastructure components such as firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, storage solutions, monitoring tools, and security measures.
• Competence in developing opportunity engagement scoping documents.
• In-depth understanding of SOC operational workflows, including triage, incident response, threat hunting, and continuous improvement.
• Preferred certifications include, but are not limited to, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, SANS GIAC, CEH, SIEM platform certification, ITIL, Cloud Security Specialty Certification, or Certified SOC Analyst, though these are not mandatory.
