This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Collaborate with Twilio New Business Account Executives, fellow Twilio Solutions Engineers, Professional Services, and Twilio Partners as needed throughout the pre-sales process to devise strategies and plans for successful deals.
• Foster a productive business relationship with Twilio Account Executives, emphasizing effective business discovery within potential clients and articulating the value of Twilio solutions.
• Participate alongside Account Executives in the qualification, discovery, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concept, RFP responses, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions throughout the sales cycle.
• Cultivate subject matter expertise regarding customer needs and requirements, as well as Twilio's leading communications technology.
• Facilitate technical discovery sessions with customers to identify their needs and challenges, articulating Twilio's capability to support their success and address their issues.
• Create and deliver impactful and intricate presentations and product demonstrations to highlight the functionalities of Twilio Communications Products.
• Gain insight into customers' businesses, assisting in resolving identified problems while uncovering potential opportunities.
• Establish trusted advisor relationships at the highest levels of our clients, presenting innovative solutions and architectures that drive and inspire innovation.
• Contribute to the broader Twilio Solutions Engineer community by sharing expertise, developing demo assets, and creating reusable presentations.
• Minimum of 3 years in a technical pre-sales position within the CPaaS, SaaS, or Telecom sectors.
• Strong understanding and experience with the sales cycle and the responsibilities of a pre-sales engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of voice protocols (VoIP), SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
• Creativity: you should be a problem solver, capable of collaborating with others to achieve success.
• Engaging storytelling skills: you can build audience confidence and convey complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels.
• Proficient in asking the right questions to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and guide them toward a technical solution utilizing Twilio Communications products.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architectures.
• Experience in coding within one or more of the following areas: Backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP), Web (JS, React), and experience with designing and consuming REST APIs.
