Premium Audit Expert – Part-Time Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Assist in defining and testing a Premium Audit applet within our Party Portal.

• Map the complete workflow for workers' compensation and general liability premium audits.

• Identify critical friction points with the highest potential for improvement.

• Review product specifications, mockups, and pricing strategies.

• Translate NCCI class code logic and payroll inclusion guidelines.

• Aid in assessing partnership opportunities with carriers and third-party administrators (TPAs).

• Occasionally participate in customer discovery calls with brokers, insured parties, or carrier representatives.

• Highlight potential product opportunities related to audit disputes, premium recovery, and exposure reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in commercial premium auditing, preferably a combination of carrier-side and third-party audit firm experience.

• Extensive knowledge of NCCI regulations, state-specific workers' compensation variations, and the general liability audit basis (payroll, sales, subcontractor costs, units).

• Strong viewpoints on the factors that cause subcontractor cost exclusions to remain valid or to be reclassified.

• A genuine interest in how software, artificial intelligence, and data networks can transform this work.

• Bonus: prior experience at a PAAS, ISO, an insurtech, a major carrier audit division, or a national TPA.

• Bonus: existing connections with broker risk management practices or leadership in carrier audits.
