• Accountable for serving as the technical solution owner for budgetary, competitive, and sole source proposal responses.
• Aids in delivering detailed technical responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI).
• Offers hardware and software recommendations tailored to customer requirements.
• Delivers solutions descriptions and system configuration diagrams.
• Compiles bill of materials for software, hardware, and non-standard third-party applications.
• Identifies interface requirements and collaborates with the system implementation team for design.
• Facilitates customer-facing technical requirements discovery sessions for estimation and configuration, either via conference call or in person.
• Cultivates relationships with sales, internal engineering, system integration, proposal, pricing, and key technical subject matter expert teams within the organization.
• Collaborates with the customer and sales team to implement product evaluations as needed.
• Capable of providing customer product training in both in-person and virtual formats.
• Experience in computer hardware sizing, configuration, and implementation.
• Proficient in technical writing and able to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience in Engineering, Sales, Public Safety, and/or Military OR 8+ years of relevant experience in these fields.
• Ability to foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Eagerness to think creatively and challenge conventional wisdom.
• Strong foundational knowledge of wireless communications principles and voice/data architectures—both public and private (e.g., APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G) is highly desirable.
• Experience in virtual system implementation and design, including server and desktop virtualization.
• Strong foundational knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols, and security is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with RF coverage predictions, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets is considered an asset.
