
Powerline Technician – Foreman, Distribution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Install, splice, terminate, and upkeep overhead and underground power cables, vaults, conduits, and associated equipment.
• Execute troubleshooting, fault identification, and repairs on distribution systems.
• Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment, including cable pulling rigs, fault locators, splicing kits, and testing instruments.
• Conduct switching and grounding of high-voltage equipment in compliance with utility safety standards and work protocols.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, single-line diagrams, and underground cable maps.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, utility codes, and company standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and fellow crew members to efficiently complete projects.
• Respond to emergency outages and carry out restoration work promptly.
• Maintain precise records of work conducted, materials utilized, and test outcomes.
• Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certification.
• Demonstrated experience in working with power distribution systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, powerline construction practices, and safety protocols.
• Proficient in the use of locating, splicing, and testing tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Capacity to work on-call and respond to emergency situations as necessary.
