Power Systems Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop, improve, and maintain high-availability software for electricity market and grid management.

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot applications related to power systems.

• Collaborate within Agile teams for software design, testing, and production support.

• Analyze and address technical challenges affecting grid and EMS applications.

• Contribute to enhancements in performance, quality, and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.

• Strong expertise in Power Systems Analysis and Application Software Development.

• Familiarity with electricity markets, grid operations, and EMS.

• Proficient in coding with Java, C++, and .NET.

• Experience with SCUC, Economic Dispatch, and MIP optimization algorithms.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience working in Agile environments.

• Preferred: experience in supporting Energy Management Systems (EMS) or utility grid software.

• Preferred: knowledge of grid modernization, stability, and integrated grid solutions.
