This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Tailor designs for switchboards, PDUs, and RPPs according to customer requirements and project specifications
• Produce comprehensive mechanical and electrical CAD drawings utilizing SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with UL 891, UL 67, and other relevant standards
• Keep design documentation current and effectively communicate modifications to all pertinent stakeholders
• Evaluate and confirm all drawings to guarantee clarity, manufacturability, and consistency with technical specifications
• Resolve design challenges during production by collaborating closely with manufacturing teams
• Oversee multiple design projects concurrently while meeting established deadlines
• Communicate proficiently across different time zones to align technical outputs and swiftly address any issues
• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of experience in a sheet metal manufacturing setting
• Strong proficiency in CAD software, especially SolidWorks
• Proven experience in designing low-voltage switchboards that comply with UL 891 standards
• In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and material specifications
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, particularly in coordinating with global teams
• Highly organized, with a capacity to manage several projects simultaneously
