Power BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain intricate Power BI dashboards and reports utilizing DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques.

• Construct and enhance data models within the Power BI semantic layer to ensure performance and scalability.

• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to comprehend data requirements and convert them into effective visualizations and reports.

• Establish and enforce data governance and security protocols within Power BI.

• Oversee Power BI workspaces and control user access.

• Leverage the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem for data integration, transformation, and warehousing purposes.

• Diagnose and resolve performance challenges and data inconsistencies.

• Keep abreast of the latest Power BI features and industry best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• 7+ years of demonstrated experience as a Power BI Developer.

• Profound understanding of data modeling principles and semantic layer architecture.

• Extensive expertise with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX.

• Strong proficiency in data transformation and cleansing using Power Query.

• Practical experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, encompassing Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake.

• Familiarity with data warehousing principles and best practices.

• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

• Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience with Tableau development and administration (preferred).

• Experience in migrating dashboards and reports from Tableau to Power BI (preferred).
