This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Concentrate on business intelligence along with reporting technologies and methodologies.
• Identify, cleanse, transform, and load data into data models.
• Develop data models, establish relationship cardinality and cross-filter direction, and construct complex measures.
• Generate reports, dashboards, scorecards, data exploration, and visual analytics.
• Support the definition of requirements, solution designs, technical architecture, and delivery.
• Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, business analysts, clients, and members of the OCIO technical team.
• Implement solutions utilizing Microsoft Power BI and related technologies.
• Utilize data warehouses, data marts, and data models for business, financial, and operational analysis and reporting.
• Create high-performing, reliable, and scalable solutions.
• Enhance the performance of both new and existing data models.
• Convey technical details to business and management personnel.
• Conduct data analysis to support and improve information management systems and services.
• Author and supervise design documents for approved projects.
• Develop, publish, and schedule reports, dashboards, scorecards, data exploration, and visual analytics.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members on Microsoft Power BI and related technologies.
• Suggest new and emerging technologies and concepts to team members.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance.
• Must have resided in the United States for the last five years.
• Cannot have spent more than six months outside the United States in the last five years; military service is excluded.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field, or PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Certification or equivalent.
• Over 4 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence and/or Information Management.
• At least 2 years of experience in data visualization and implementing high-value solutions, along with experience performing administrative tasks across multi-environment infrastructures.
• A minimum of 2 years working in a client-facing technical role.
• Strong understanding of ETL, data warehousing, data marts, data stores, cubes, data quality and profiling, data governance, metadata management, data visualization, dashboard design, reporting, self-service BI, KPIs, scorecards, predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics.
• Proficient in SQL, SAS, R, or Python.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Previous experience with government software development policies and procedures is a plus.
