Power BI Analyst

📋 Description

• Support the revenue cycle management team by monitoring revenue and accounts receivable data utilizing Power BI reporting.

• Collaborate with revenue cycle project leaders to gain insights into business processes and create reporting and analytics for tracking financial performance.

• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards for various business stakeholders.

• Collect business requirements for effective data visualization and analysis.

• Work alongside data teams and analysts to obtain, clean, and transform data.

• Create intricate DAX calculations and measures.

• Ensure compliance with data security and best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports.

• Offer training and support to Power BI end users.

• Stay updated on Power BI features and industry trends.

• Prepare regular daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards.

• Maintain a strong understanding of client-specific data, including payer mix, insurance and financial classes, patient access systems, and data timing challenges.

• Support daily operations with ad hoc analyses.

• Communicate and work with team members and clients to devise effective solutions.

• Analyze and resolve problems efficiently and thoroughly.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or related fields.

• Expertise in Power BI development, including the creation of reports and dashboards.

• 1–3 years of experience or equivalent in a revenue cycle analytics role within the healthcare sector.

• Strong grasp of data modeling and data visualization principles.

• Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction.

• Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for generating calculations.

• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts.

• Comprehensive understanding of best practices for efficiently managing large data sets.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.

• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities, combined with sound judgment and decision-making skills based on accurate and timely analyses.

• High integrity and reliability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-driven mindset.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Must have a smartphone or electronic device capable of downloading applications for multifactor authentication and security purposes.

• Ability to follow instructions, collaborate with others, manage stress, and meet physical demands as required.

• Must understand and adhere to Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures.

• Must restrict viewing of PHI to the minimum necessary.

• Must use, protect, and disclose PHI in compliance with HIPAA standards.
