Power BI Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to gain insights into business, reporting, and analytics needs.

• Convey findings and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.

• Offer guidance on Power BI development and implementation best practices.

• Convert business requirements into scalable solutions and data models in Power BI.

• Design, develop, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.

• Create advanced DAX calculations and implement Power Query/M solutions.

• Establish and manage dimensional data models with the appropriate relationships.

• Configure and oversee Row-Level Security and dynamic hierarchies.

• Analyze and cleanse data while resolving data quality or reporting challenges.

• Collaborate with technical and engineering teams on data integration, architecture, and reporting needs.

• Support a U.S.-based client in a hands-on, client-facing role for approximately two to three months.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 3 years of relevant experience in BI and data analytics, with substantial hands-on work in Power BI.

• Proven experience in creating executive dashboards—reports designed for and presented to senior leadership.

• Previous experience working directly with U.S. clients and cross-functional technical teams.

• Advanced expertise in Power BI and DAX, in addition to SQL and Power Query/M.

• Strong experience with Power BI Service and data modeling techniques.

• Familiarity with dimensional modeling and relational data structures.

• Experience in profiling, cleansing, and shaping source data using Power Query.

• Practical experience in implementing Row-Level Security and dynamic hierarchies.

• Excellent client-facing communication and consulting abilities.

• Capacity to explain technical concepts and present findings to senior business stakeholders.

• Must reside in the United States; candidates can be located in any U.S. state.

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• 100% remote work for the duration of the engagement.

• Availability to work during standard U.S. business hours.

• Must not require visa sponsorship at present or in the future.
