Post-Merger Integration Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive integration planning and execution for acquisitions, ensuring readiness from Day 1 through complete operational and cultural assimilation.

• Serve as the main liaison among leadership, functional teams, and acquired entities throughout the integration process.

• Recognize and address cultural differences, communication barriers, and process discrepancies among merging teams.

• Create and monitor integration roadmaps inclusive of milestones, responsible parties, and success metrics across HR, operations, systems, and cultural workstreams.

• Collaborate with People/HR, Finance, IT, and business unit leaders to coordinate policies, tools, reporting structures, and operational methodologies.

• Identify potential risks and obstacles early on and recommend practical solutions.

• Develop and preserve integration documentation, playbooks, and repositories of lessons learned.

• Assist in due diligence and pre-close preparations for upcoming acquisitions.

• Conduct workshops and check-ins to ensure alignment, transparency, and accountability.

• Regularly communicate integration progress and risks to leadership.

• Proficient in English with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• At ease presenting to senior leadership.

• Proven experience collaborating with individuals and teams from diverse cultures and countries.

• History of delivering international, cross-border, or multi-location projects.

• Previous experience in M&A integration, post-merger integration (PMI), or related change management/transformation roles.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management.

• Methodical and organized approach to developing roadmaps, monitoring actions, and fostering accountability without formal authority.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and changing priorities in dynamic deal environments.

• Willingness and capability to travel as necessary to support integration efforts across different locations.

• Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is a plus.

• Experience in the technology, software, or services industries is desirable.

• Background in consulting, corporate development, or a specialized M&A/integration function is advantageous.

• Familiarity with change management frameworks and the design of integration playbooks is beneficial.
