Portfolio Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Tasked with delivering expert consulting and direction at the highest level of portfolio architecture.

• The individual in this role operates at an expert level, holding specialized skills that are essential to the business, and offers guidance to fellow Architects, IT personnel, or business associates.

• Lead the technology strategy, develop software solution architecture, and create solution patterns to provide impactful and timely solutions for the business.

• Utilize advanced knowledge of all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), understanding how various solution architecture layers (hardware, operating system, database, network, business rules, user interface, etc.) influence solution design and user experience to deliver high-quality business solutions.

• Responsible for the development of department-level solution patterns/templates necessary to fulfill the needs of a business line or department, along with possessing deep business knowledge of a specific line of business to comprehend business requirements.

• Develop value-added solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of a business area and its solution portfolio.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least ten years of IT experience, with a proven track record in the last five years in at least one of the following areas: IT/Business Processes and/or SOA within the financial services sector.

• Expertise in Infrastructure/Technical Architecture.

• Proficient in Business Systems Applications Architecture.

• Knowledgeable in Information/Business Intelligence Architecture.

• A minimum of five years of experience leading IT projects (e.g., as a Technical Team Lead) for large-scale, complex, high-risk, and high-visibility IT initiatives.

• Proven exceptional knowledge of industry-standard business and technology process best practices, tools, and methodologies.

• Mastery of all phases of the software life cycle, from specification through analysis and design to testing, maintenance, and product evaluation.

• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams in applying a new structured development process through all phases: concept, execution, and implementation at both departmental and project levels.

• Extensive knowledge in requirements engineering, software architecture, software testing, and software deployment, including how the software or solution interacts with the overall technical architecture to provide the necessary business function.

• Ability to merge the software development model with a project management methodology such as Agile, waterfall, or hybrid to enhance the speed and quality of the final product.
