This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more states.
• Develop the product vision and strategy informed by market research and customer requirements.
• Create business cases, market positioning, and competitive analysis for the Adult & Academic portfolio tailored to global markets.
• Offer product leadership, representing the portfolio to diverse audiences.
• Manage a profitable product line and formulate strategic business plans to seize opportunities and grow in key markets.
• Cultivate relationships with decision-makers and market influencers to gain customer insights.
• Leverage customer insights to craft business proposals and make informed strategic investment choices.
• Discover and evaluate product ideas through focus groups, advisory boards, reviews, and customer interactions.
• Work alongside Product Marketing to monitor product performance throughout its life cycle and address adoption barriers, portfolio gaps, opportunities, and retention requirements.
• Sustain relationships with authors, series editors, consultants, and academic researchers.
• Collaborate with Academic/Learning Design, Content Production, Marketing, Sales, Product Technology, and other functional teams on both discipline-specific and organization-wide initiatives.
• A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent qualification is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in product management, business development, or another relevant leadership role.
• Strong proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to establish communication channels and information sources across various interfaces and business functions.
• Experience in conducting product research and developing and implementing targeted research plans with defined objectives.
• Capability to convert customer needs and challenges into opportunities, articulating a clear product vision.
• Proficient in establishing collaborative working relationships and building credibility.
• Ability to effectively communicate vision and strategy to team members at all levels.
• Skilled in presenting persuasive proposals to a range of audiences, including senior leadership.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling abilities, along with a solid understanding of business metrics.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
• Preferred: qualification in educational research and/or data analysis.
• Preferred: fluency in one or more additional languages, with Spanish or Arabic being particularly advantageous.
