This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more states.
• Define the vision and strategy for products based on market analysis and customer requirements.
• Develop business cases, market positioning, and competitive benchmarking for the Adult & Academic portfolio.
• Provide leadership in product management across various audiences.
• Oversee a profitable product line and formulate strategic business plans aimed at growth markets.
• Cultivate relationships with decision-makers and market influencers to acquire customer insights.
• Leverage customer insights to create business proposals and inform strategic investment choices.
• Identify and evaluate product concepts through focus groups, advisory boards, reviews, and customer interactions.
• Work alongside Product Marketing to monitor product performance throughout its life cycle.
• Recognize and address adoption barriers, portfolio gaps, new opportunities, and retention requirements.
• Maintain relationships with authors, series editors, consultants, and academic researchers.
• Collaborate with teams in Academic/Learning Design, Content Production, Marketing, Sales, Product Technology, and other functional areas.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in product management, business development, or a related management position.
• Proactive in problem-solving and capable of effective communication across various interfaces and business functions.
• Experience in conducting product research.
• Ability to develop and execute focused research plans with specific objectives and suitable methodologies.
• Capacity to translate customer needs and challenges into product opportunities.
• Competence in articulating product vision and strategy.
• Skill in establishing collaborative working relationships and earning credibility.
• Ability to present persuasive proposals to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
• Strong skills in financial analysis and modeling.
• Understanding of business metrics.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
• Preferred: qualification in educational research and/or data analysis.
• Preferred: proficiency in an additional language, with Spanish or Arabic being particularly desirable.
