PMO Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The PMO Manager is accountable for the daily management and delivery of project management services, which encompass team leadership, project oversight, performance monitoring, and stakeholder communication.

• Guarantees that a wide range of technical engagements are executed in accordance with the established scope, schedule, and budget parameters.

• Maintains effective communication with executive leadership and departmental teams to support efficient project execution, resource coordination, and consistent delivery results.

• Oversees a remote-based PMO team, including Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Program Managers, each managing multiple ongoing projects of varying sizes.

• Demonstrates strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, while also showcasing adaptability to shifting priorities, all while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality results.

• Exhibits a customer-focused work ethic that aligns with Planet's principles of exceptional service, partnership, and exceeding expectations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in business or technology, or equivalent experience. A Master’s degree is advantageous.

• At least five (5) years of experience as a PMO Manager or Director in a large, matrixed organization, managing multiple ongoing priorities is crucial.

• Strong competencies in project management methodologies (Agile, PMBOK) with a proven ability to successfully execute and deliver projects.

• Proven experience in delivering complex IT projects that require an understanding of technical deployments that drive client success.

• Previous experience in managing project financials, including budgeting, cost control, and the ability to identify and resolve risks and issues to uphold delivery commitments, as well as the capability to analyze project metrics and performance data to inform execution-focused decisions.

• Experience in ensuring compliance with SOWs, contractual obligations, and delivery standards is required.

• Ability to communicate clearly with vertical leadership and collaborate cross-functionally.

• Responsible for identifying risks and supporting staff in managing them appropriately or escalating as necessary.

• Capacity to adapt to evolving project dynamics, technologies, and market conditions.

• The ideal candidate must hold at least 2 of the following certifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Certification

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification

• Microsoft Project 2016/2019 Certification
