Plumbing Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create plumbing system models and integrate them with other disciplines using BIM tools, particularly Autodesk Revit.

• Design plumbing system layouts and detailed configurations for mission-critical facilities.

• Engineer and model domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, storm drainage, and various plumbing systems.

• Develop piping layouts, equipment connections, riser diagrams, and system schematics.

• Conduct plumbing calculations and assist in equipment and piping sizing.

• Generate coordinated BIM models and construction drawings.

• Comprehend and fulfill project requirements related to scope, cost, and schedule.

• Identify and expedite engineering deliverables.

• Create and maintain documentation for project scope of work and its revisions.

• Collaborate with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection disciplines on plumbing systems.

• Detect and resolve design and coordination challenges within the BIM framework.

• Ensure compliance of designs with relevant plumbing, building, and project-specific codes and standards.

• Prepare drawings, schedules, specifications, calculations, and equipment data for project implementation.

• Evaluate shop drawings and submittals for adherence to design intent.

• Assist project teams throughout the design development and construction phases.

• Conduct occasional site visits to support construction advancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical domain.

• Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in plumbing design.

• Experience in designing and modeling plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.

• In-depth knowledge of domestic water, sanitary, vent, and storm drainage systems.

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential.

• Experience in producing coordinated BIM models and construction documentation.

• Familiarity with applicable plumbing and building codes and standards.

• Experience coordinating plumbing systems with other engineering disciplines.

• Previous involvement with U.S.-based projects and data centers is a plus.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English at B1 level or higher.

• Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing to meet project deadlines.

• Self-motivated, driven, and able to excel in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to articulate technical concepts clearly.

• Resume must be submitted in English.

• Must operate as an independent, self-employed professional under a formal independent contractor agreement.

• Responsible for adhering to tax and labor obligations in the country of residence.
