Plumber/Gas-fitter Journeyman – Onsite Shift Work

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Install and repair water lines utilizing hand tools and crimping tools.

• Install, fix, and replace fixtures and appliances, such as showers, toilets, urinals, sinks, hot water tanks, kitchen equipment, washers/dryers, dishwashers, furnaces, and air conditioning units.

• Employ forklifts, floor jacks, or dollies to transport larger fixtures and appliances.

• Utilize torches, crimpers, drills, hand tools, pipe benders, manometers, threading machines, die heads, grinders, metal snips, and shears.

• Apply glues and sealing materials for the installation of appliances.

• Operate in compliance with the Gas Code and Plumbing Code.

• Obtain gas permits as necessary.

• Load, unload, and relocate materials to designated work areas.

• Maintain site equipment and ensure it is functioning properly.

• Coordinate with the Area Superintendent and Maintenance Planner regarding maintenance concerns.

• Accurately and promptly complete required documentation.

• Uphold the facility's curb appeal, including highway signage.

• Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping standards inside and outside the facilities.

• Organize and store tools and equipment, and maintain clean work sites.

• Effectively manage time to meet deadlines.

• Collaborate with other departments to guarantee the smooth operation of site systems.

• Execute other related tasks incidental to the work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid driver's license.

• Education level typically equivalent to high school.

• Journeyman Certificate in Plumbing.

• Gas Fitter Technician certification.

• Minimum of 5 years of plumbing experience.

• Familiarity with relevant industry and company codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.

• Proficient in operating all hand and power tools necessary for trade-specific tasks.

• Capable of demonstrating organizational, time-management, and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to manage a variable workload and establish priorities to meet deadlines.

• Capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

• Able to safely and comfortably perform physical duties.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Attentive to the health and safety of oneself and colleagues.

• Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test.

• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment during work hours.
