Platforms Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain software within the Platforms ecosystem.

• Create and sustain APIs and backend services that deliver real-time data to applications.

• Develop web applications and user interfaces utilizing TypeScript and contemporary web technologies.

• Construct internal tools and systems that enhance efficiency, reliability, and operational workflows.

• Engage throughout the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

• Design and execute robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

• Integrate with various data sources, messaging systems, and both internal and external services.

• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and technical stakeholders.

• Contribute to technical decisions and the architecture of the Platforms.

• Identify opportunities for system, process, and operational improvements.

• Define development requirements with stakeholders, iterate rapidly, deploy to production, and manage user feedback and resolutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in software development.

• Extensive programming experience in Python.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and modern web development practices.

• Full-stack development experience with a solid understanding of both backend and frontend systems.

• Proven experience in designing and building RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with software architecture and design principles.

• Capability to write maintainable and efficient code.

• Proficient in Git and contemporary software development workflows.

• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools.

• Familiarity with Docker or Podman.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication abilities.

• A proactive, self-starting approach with the initiative to develop projects independently.

• Experience managing projects from inception to completion.

• Quick to grasp unfamiliar systems and technologies.

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Experience in sports technology, broadcasting, data, or visualization environments is a plus.

• A passion for sports is highly desirable.
