Platform and Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Zyte is on the lookout for a Senior IT Systems Engineer who possesses a robust background in Business Systems and Automation to design and manage the internal technology framework that supports our worldwide operations.

• This position transcends typical endpoint management and conventional IT support — it approaches internal IT as a discipline of engineering, prioritizing code-first automation as the standard methodology.

• You will be responsible for designing and maintaining the core infrastructure of Zyte's internal SaaS platform, seamlessly integrating systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, financial systems, HR platforms, engineering tools, and collaboration software into a unified, automated architecture.

• Additionally, you will play a crucial role in implementing AI-assisted and AI-driven workflows throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years in IT Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Systems Engineering, or Platform Engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior position overseeing internal business systems and automation in a SaaS or tech company.

• Expertise in scripting: Proficient in Python, Go, Bash, and Node.js.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience managing GCP and AWS environments (VPCs, IAM roles, EC2/S3).

• API & Integration Engineering: Extensive experience with external APIs, including:

• - REST and GraphQL APIs

• - OAuth authentication processes

• - Webhook-based event systems

• - SaaS SDKs and integration frameworks.

• Operating Systems: Profound knowledge of macOS and Linux environments.

• Identity & Security: Experience in implementing and managing:

• - SSO / SAML / SCIM provisioning

• - Identity lifecycle automation

• - Zero Trust access models.

• Compliance & Governance: Experience in supporting or passing security and compliance audits, such as:

• - ISO 27001 | SOC2 | GDPR.

• Experience in remote-first or globally distributed work environments is highly preferred.
