Platform and Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Zyte is on the lookout for a Senior IT Systems Engineer who possesses robust experience in Business Systems and Automation to design and manage the internal technology ecosystem that fuels our global organization.

• This position transcends typical endpoint management and conventional IT support, treating internal IT as an engineering discipline with a code-first automation mindset as the standard approach.

• You will be responsible for designing and maintaining the foundation of Zyte's internal SaaS platform, seamlessly integrating systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, financial systems, HR platforms, engineering tools, and collaboration software into a unified, automated architecture.

• Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation of AI-assisted and AI-driven workflows throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in IT Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Systems Engineering, or Platform Engineering, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior position managing internal business systems and automation within a SaaS or tech company.

• Scripting Expertise: Proficient in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, Bash, and Node.js.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Extensive experience managing GCP and AWS environments (including VPCs, IAM roles, EC2/S3).

• API & Integration Engineering: Strong background in working with external APIs, which includes:

• - REST and GraphQL APIs

• - OAuth authentication flows

• - Webhook-based event systems

• - SaaS SDKs and integration frameworks.

• Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of macOS and Linux environments.

• Identity & Security: Proven experience in implementing and managing:

• - SSO / SAML / SCIM provisioning

• - Identity lifecycle automation

• - Zero Trust access models

• Compliance & Governance: Experience in supporting or undergoing security and compliance audits, such as:

• - ISO 27001 | SOC2 | GDPR

• A background in remote-first or globally distributed work environments is highly preferred.
