This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee a portfolio of plaintiff-side property insurance litigation cases from their initial stages to resolution.
• Engage directly with clients to discuss strategies, case updates, and settlement possibilities.
• Prepare legal documents including complaints, motions, discovery requests and responses, and briefs.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions.
• Collaborate closely with seasoned attorneys while retaining responsibility for your cases.
• Litigate cases in both Illinois state and federal courts.
• Current Illinois law license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience in civil litigation.
• Familiarity with discovery processes, motion practice, and depositions.
• Strong skills in legal writing, research, and analysis.
• Exceptional communication and client service skills.
• A self-driven attorney who excels in a dynamic plaintiff litigation setting.
• Prior experience in property insurance litigation is preferred.
