Physician Peer Reviewer – Dermatologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Accountable for examining medical case files and making medical assessments

• Cases may involve medical necessity, medical appropriateness, experimental or investigational treatments, as well as administrative or legal matters

• Reviews and interprets Federal and State laws, regulations, and relevant policy guidelines

• Completes and assesses the review process within a regulatory timeline

⛳️ Requirements

• Successful completion of a Residency or Fellowship Program

• Must have a current state license in a U.S. state or recognized jurisdiction as a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine if required by the contract

• At least 5 years of active clinical experience in direct patient care after graduation

• Experience in providing direct patient care within the last 3 years, if conducting external reviews

• Must possess a current board certification from the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association
