Physical Therapist, PT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive assessments of students' mobility, strength, balance, and coordination.

• Create individualized treatment plans and objectives tailored to each student's unique needs and capabilities.

• Apply evidence-based physical therapy techniques to enhance motor skills, range of motion, and functional independence.

• Deliver direct one-on-one and group therapy sessions as deemed appropriate.

• Work in partnership with teachers, parents, and educational team members to incorporate therapy objectives into educational plans.

• Track student progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.

• Accurately and promptly document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other pertinent information.

• Engage in IEP meetings and contribute insights regarding students' physical therapy requirements.

• Offer physical therapy services to PreK-12 students aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, and physical function.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a current license in California or be eligible for state licensure.

• Licensed Physical Therapist with valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.

• Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Experience in delivering physical therapy services in a pediatric or educational setting.

• Experience in a school-based environment is essential.

• Proficient in assessment tools and therapeutic methods typically utilized in pediatric physical therapy.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Experience in teletherapy or online counseling is preferred.

• Familiarity with adaptive equipment and assistive technology used in physical therapy is preferred.
