Physical AI Field Delivery Engineer – Computer Vision, Edge AI, ROS2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design and implement Physical AI solutions in manufacturing facilities, energy infrastructure, logistics centers, and intelligent buildings.

• Engage directly with clients from the initial discovery phase to production.

• Collect requirements and carry out proofs of concept, leading to full production deployment and continuous optimization.

• Collaborate closely with solution architects and engineering teams.

• Facilitate technical workshops with clients.

• Take responsibility for the technical delivery of production-grade AI applications.

• Utilize cameras, LiDAR, drones, robotics platforms, and edge computing hardware.

• Create solutions involving computer vision, robotics, edge computing, and industrial IoT.

• Perform model development and optimization for inspection, tracking, anomaly detection, and real-time inference.

• Integrate sensors and industrial systems into edge-to-cloud frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical engineering experience in computer vision, robotics, edge AI, or industrial IoT.

• Proven track record of production deployments in real-world scenarios.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, suitable for customer-facing and executive presentations.

• Willing to travel across Europe approximately 50% of the time.

• Residing within the European Economic Area (EEA).

• Experience with production-grade tools such as OpenCV, object detection frameworks, and video analytics pipelines.

• Model development and optimization skills for inspection, tracking, anomaly detection, and real-time inference.

• Hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow for vision and perception tasks.

• Knowledge of model lifecycle management and operational performance monitoring.

• Deployment and optimization of AI workloads on NVIDIA Jetson platforms.

• Familiarity with TensorRT and ONNX.

• Capability in designing edge-to-cloud architectures.

• Development and integration experience using ROS / ROS2.

• Experience with SLAM.

• Proficiency in sensor-driven AI for autonomous perception and decision-making.

• Integration skills for cameras, LiDAR, telemetry, and PLCs.

• Expertise in sensor fusion and real-time data acquisition.

• Knowledge of OPC-UA, MQTT, and SCADA.

• Strong skills in Python and C++.

• Ability to lead requirements gathering, technical discovery workshops, PoC execution, and executive presentations.

• Skilled at translating business challenges into AI solution designs and communicating business value to non-technical stakeholders.
