PHP Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Develop and improve backend applications utilizing PHP and the Laravel framework to enhance eCarsTrade's auction platform.

• Design, implement, and sustain scalable solutions to support the rapid expansion of our user base.

• Employ Docker for containerization and orchestration, ensuring smooth deployment and scalability.

• Implement and fine-tune queues for asynchronous processing of tasks, boosting system performance.

• Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Lead initiatives to enhance backend performance, reliability, and scalability, using best practices and innovative technologies.

• Establish CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and delivery processes, ensuring swift and dependable releases.

• Mentor junior developers, offering guidance and support to foster their professional development and growth.

• Maintain a customer-focused approach, concentrating on delivering value-added features and enhancements that satisfy user needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of practical experience in PHP development, with a strong focus on the Laravel framework.

• Expertise in Docker for the containerization and deployment of applications.

• Experience in implementing and optimizing queues for background task processing.

• Solid grasp of scaling principles for backend systems and infrastructure.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a passion for writing clean and efficient code.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

• Proven history of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.

• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

• Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members, drive technical initiatives, and lead by example.
