Philanthropy Manager, Prospect Research and Relationship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the prospect research process for the philanthropy team.

• Collaborate closely with the Philanthropy Coordinator, Senior Director, Directors, and other members of the AFF team.

• Create detailed profiles on corporate, foundation, and other philanthropic prospects.

• Actively partner with AFF and external stakeholders to pinpoint the most suitable events for engagement.

• Offer research, materials, and administrative assistance to support fundraising initiatives.

• Enhance and maintain technical skills by staying updated on fundraising tools and trends.

• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Demonstrate proficiency in database management and systems-level thinking.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in prospect research, networking, fundraising, or nonprofit administration.

• Preference for candidates with a background in ESG, CSR, and/or experience in data analysis.

• Familiarity with CRM systems such as Blackbaud RENXT or HubSpot is preferred.

• Strong understanding of philanthropy principles and best practices in fundraising.

• Experience in developing event strategies is highly desirable.

• Ability to thrive in a highly independent role and a remote-first work setting.

• Self-directed and self-motivated to achieve objectives.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft SharePoint, HubSpot, Favro, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant software platforms.
