This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.
• Oversee the approval process for medications by liaising with healthcare providers and insurance companies regarding prior authorizations.
• Utilize pharmacy operating systems to input data, adjudicate claims, process refill requests, and formulate follow-up action plans.
• Record patient inquiries, the status of prior authorizations, and requirements for financial assistance in databases, electronic medical records, and email systems.
• Collaborate with physicians' offices to review prescriptions and ensure optimal patient care.
• Keep precise records of interactions and communications with patients.
• Aid patients in navigating pharmacy insurance claims and overcoming medication access obstacles.
• Work in partnership with pharmacists, pharmacy liaisons, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Offer telephone support while encouraging medication adherence and compliance.
• Conduct research and analysis to inform operational and strategic decisions.
• Organize and manage data within pharmacy and database systems.
• Detect trends, address issues, suggest enhancements, and engage in process improvement initiatives.
• Act as a reliable partner to organizational stakeholders.
• Safeguard patient and organizational information by adhering to strict confidentiality protocols.
• Keep up-to-date with professional knowledge through ongoing education and development.
• Travel minimally within the state or out of state as required.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
• A valid New Hampshire Pharmacy Technician License is required at the time of hire.
• Ability to obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 9 months if not already certified.
• High School Diploma or GED is necessary.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Strong understanding of test claims, adjudication, prior authorization, and appeals processes.
• Excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and customer service abilities.
• Capability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) is preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to navigate the internet and web-based platforms effectively.
• Data entry and computer skills will be evaluated during the pre-employment process.
• Minimal in-state or out-of-state travel may be necessary.
