Pharmacy Technician – Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Handle a high volume of incoming calls from existing patients and address their inquiries.

• Collect outstanding patient balances when payment is required.

• Deliver outstanding customer service within a closed-door, phone-based pharmacy setting.

• Act as an intermediary between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals on behalf of patients.

• Collaborate with technicians, pharmacists, and specialists to ensure superior patient care.

• Keep patient records meticulously, ensuring attention to detail and confidentiality.

• Provide additional support during peak patient call times.

• Assist patients with inquiries over the phone.

• Reflect AnewHealth’s Core Values in all communications and interactions.

• Carry out other assigned tasks as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) with a current certificate is necessary.

• Must hold a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

• Previous experience in a pharmacy environment is preferred.

• Comfortable working in a fully remote and/or phone-based setup.

• Ability to work autonomously.

• Self-motivated and goal-driven.

• Proficient in using computer equipment, technology, and various software applications.

• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with physicians' offices, pharmacists, and patients via phone.

• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy and medications.

• Understanding of prescription processes, clarifications, and transfers.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent prioritization and organizational abilities.

• Maintain high confidentiality standards.

• Capability to think critically and document relevant details in compliance with state and federal laws.

• Must be able to travel to multiple site locations within the designated area.

• Availability to work extended hours as required.

• Average weekly availability of 40 hours, including occasional work outside normal business hours.
