This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Accurately process new prescriptions, refills, and cancellations.
• Ensure complete and compliant medication profiles for patients.
• Handle a high volume of incoming calls from hospice partners, prescribers, and clinical staff.
• Triage and address routine service inquiries, escalating more complex issues as needed.
• Provide outstanding customer service through effective communication and active listening.
• Employ de-escalation techniques when dealing with urgent or emotionally charged situations.
• Achieve service level, quality, productivity, and documentation standards.
• Use pharmacy systems and internal tools to manage workflows and document activities.
• Identify service challenges and collaborate with operations leadership for resolution.
• Engage in training, system updates, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Assist hospice pharmacy operations by ensuring accuracy, continuity, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and colleagues to enhance patient safety, service quality, and the overall care experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a pharmacy technician.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CPhT or EXCPT Pharmacy Technician certification required.
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a healthcare environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a calm and empathetic demeanor.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, call-driven setting.
• Familiarity with pharmacy systems, patient records, or workflow platforms.
• Customer-focused mentality with effective problem-solving skills.
• Capability to manage sensitive patient and clinical information with confidentiality.
• Adaptability to changing processes, systems, and priorities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacists and team members.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Clear and effective verbal communication abilities.
