Pharmacy Technician, PCO

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Accurately process new prescriptions, refills, and discontinuations.

• Maintain thorough and compliant medication profiles for patients.

• Handle a high volume of inbound calls from hospice partners, prescribers, and clinical staff.

• Triage and address routine service inquiries, escalating complex issues as needed.

• Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication and attentive listening.

• Employ de-escalation techniques in urgent or emotionally charged situations.

• Achieve service level, quality, productivity, and documentation benchmarks.

• Leverage pharmacy systems and internal tools to manage workflows and record activities.

• Identify service-related issues and collaborate with operations leadership for resolution.

• Engage in training, system updates, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician within a healthcare environment.

• At least 2 years of recent experience as a pharmacy technician.

• High School diploma or equivalent education.

• Required certification as a CPhT or EXCPT Pharmacy Technician.

• Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a calm and empathetic demeanor.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, call-driven setting.

• Familiarity with pharmacy systems, patient records, or workflow management platforms.

• Customer-centric mindset with the capability for efficient problem-solving.

• Comfort in handling sensitive patient and clinical information with confidentiality.

• Flexibility to adapt to evolving processes, systems, and priorities.

• Strong organizational abilities and a keen attention to documentation standards.

• Collaborative team player who works effectively with pharmacists and colleagues.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Clear and effective verbal communication skills.
