Pharmacy Technician – Outreach Calls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Actively expand the specialty pharmacy patient base by initiating outbound calls to qualified patients and enrolling them with Shields Partner Pharmacy.

• Inform patients about the services provided by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program.

• Safeguard the confidentiality of patient information.

• Interact with patients via phone, detailing the advantages of the Shields Partner Pharmacy program.

• Review patients' EMRs and chart notes prior to making outbound calls.

• Recognize medications that require special storage or handling, including hazardous and refrigerated items.

• Determine necessary supplies for specific medications, such as sharps containers, needles/syringes, alcohol swabs, and band-aids.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Louisiana Pharmacy Technician License is mandatory.

• State-registered Pharmacy Technician in Louisiana; certification as CPhT is preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills.

• Demonstrated empathy, integrity, and a collaborative mindset.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Strong computer skills, capable of navigating the internet and web-based platforms.

• Previous customer service or outbound call experience is preferred.

• Data entry and computer competencies will be assessed during the pre-employment evaluation.
